The 450gsm board is quality offset printed, then velvet matt laminated. These card look like a standard matt laminate, but feel like a premium suede material to the touch.

How to order.

We are not your ‘standard’ online printer. We offer a range of options to suit your individual business. If you want the job done right, it is critical that artwork is setup correctly to ensure a quality result. If you use Canva, it is recommended you check the artwork

1. Order online or request consultation: You can either order online in the above ‘order details’ section, alternatively email us or call us to arrange a complimentary consultation.
2. Consultation: Either by phone or email , we ensure that you are selecting the best product based on your artwork and your business. Sometimes a rethink is required and we are happy to assist in offering alternatives. Some businesses benefit by using recycled stocks, others by using sustainable plastics.
3. Present Options: Based on the consultation, we offer the best options to achieve the best end result based on your deadline and budget. If you would like us to design, a quote will be supplied based on your requirements. Our experienced design team will provide you with concept(s) via email. Further consultation is offered via email or phone to make sure you are 100 % happy before the job is placed for production.
4. Proof Email: We send a PDF proof via email for you to check artworks and specs. This need to be replied with your approval (or requested changes) and your delivery address.
5. Pre Press: We check and ensure your artwork will turn out as a great finished product.
6. Production: We use state of the art printing presses in factories Australia wide to save on time and delivery cost.
7. Quality Control: All goods are checked before packaging.
8. Freight: Over the years we have used various postal and courier services. We have learned that If this stage is not up to scratch, the whole job can be let down. This is why we have partnered will TOLL – offering excellent, consistent road and Air freight options.
   Some of the factories will use other couriers depending on the job and delivery post code..

How to create a QR code:

1. Generate a QR code by using Adobe's Free online QR generator
2. Enter your URL in the field box.
3. In ‘File Format’ tab, select SVG and download.
4. Canva: Upload the QR code: File > Upload Files > Drag and drop the QR code into your design.
   Adobe Illustrator: File > Open > Copy & Paste element into your design.
   Adobe InDesign: Skip the above steps , InDesign creates QR codes within the program (Object > Generate QR Code...).

TEST SCAN - Make sure the QR code is big enough to scan easily!
We recommend printing out at 100% size (do not scale) on your office printer.
If you cannot do this, zoom your screen to approx 100% of the physical card size.

What is Velvet laminate?

Velvet laminate looks the same as matt laminate, the difference is the feel of the card. It feels like a wax based suede material and is beautiful to the touch. It is becoming more of a standard card option since its release to the Australian market in 2015.

How thick are Laminated Cards?

Our Laminated Cards are professionally offset printed on quality 450GSM card stock. We believe this is the benchmark thickness if you are after a quality, firm (not flimsy ) card.

What is GSM?

GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter. Usually this relates to card thickness, however this comes down to the card stock density. For example, it is possible to have 450gsm card being thicker than a 600 GSM card. As there is some misconception regarding this, we use a micrometer on all of our products to be able to advise the thickness in millimeters.

What is Vector?

‘Vector’ artwork allows modifying of artwork without compromising it. It also allows scaling it without loss of quality.
Generally vector artwork is within .AI, .SVG, .EPS, .PDF files. You can tell if artwork is vector by zooming in 6,000%. If it pixelates, it is NOT in a vector / editable format.
If it 'redraws' or consists of the same quality, the artwork has been made in a vector fomat.
PNG or JPG are Bitmap files (made from pixels) and are NOT vector / editable.
Photoshop cannot create vector artwork, Illustrator can.

What size options are available for Laminated Cards?

The Laminated Cards standard size is 90 x 55mm. We can make the cards any size within 90 x 55mm.

Do you offer rounded corners?

Yes, you can find the cards with Spot UV and rounded corners here. We offer an awesome range of diecut shapes.

What’s the reason forartwork requirements?

Hands down, if you want quality, it starts with quality artwork. Many people do not consider how colour on screen translates to ink on paper. Rich Black is the perfect example. Using too much CMY with K can cause a muddy brown result. This is because there is simply too much ink going onto the card. The different card products we offer use different CMYK values to create the best rich black for the specific card.

How do I supply artwork?

When you submit your PDF, it should contain different pages for each process. For example, page 1 is the front print. The second page is the back print.
